Troy is our idea of high mountain Chardonnay. In the language of our ancestors this name means "path", a choice that represents our long path of research and experimentation of this noble vine.
Color: intense golden yellow
Flavor: delicate floral and citrus scents, tropical fruits, chamomile and mint with a touch of almond and toasted hazelnut
Flavor: With great elegance Troy shows off its typically alpine character; notes of ripe tropical fruit such as mango, banana and galia melon are embellished with a hint of hazelnut and supported by an incredible freshness and saline minerality; the finish is long and
juicy on mineral tones.
Despite a relatively late germination, the high temperatures and humidity recorded in April and May anticipated flowering in the vineyard. From mid-June the weather was hot and dry and a slight water stress favored an optimal end of the vine growth and an ideal transition to the ripening phase. Important amounts of rain just before the harvest proved beneficial for the grapes, as after a rather arid summer they allowed them to reach the final ripening phase with a positive water balance. For the entire duration of the harvest, the dry and sunny weather created the ideal conditions for perfect ripening and harmonious development of the grape aromas. Consequently, for each grape variety and in each vineyard it was possible to proceed with the harvest at precisely the most suitable time. The result is white wines that are characterized by an elegant structure and a very fine acidity. Red wines also have great potential, as they are powerful and tannic.
