Doppio Erre Di stands for Ritardato Degorgement Recently Degorgiato, meaning that the degorgement (i.e. the final stage of the production of the Franciacorta method) after long months of aging is deliberately delayed and that the bottles are delivered recently disgorged (as indicated on the label) to ensure maximum freshness. Produced using only the first flower of the pressing, a part of the base wine ferments in barriques. The base wine is aged for at least 30 months in contact with the yeasts.
Sublime, balanced and soft. It is a radiant wine with great olfactory richness that awakens emotions and offers an irresistible experience.
Bright dress, bright straw yellow with very light coppery flecks; the aromas emerge immediately demonstrating elegance and finesse, the linden and hawthorn flowers surround the ripe white fruit, surrounded by nuances of licorice; the fresh tones alternate with the warm ones, the fermentation yeasts give a nice contribution, counterbalanced by barley malt and toasted peanuts. On the palate the particular production process highlights the creaminess and the ripe fruit, no harshness blocks the drinkability, it is soft and with a very pleasant salty finish.
